Continuing Education for General Contractors

Fulfilling requirements of the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors

Every individual in North Carolina with a General Contractors’ license must receive 8 hours of continuing education every year, including the Board’s 2-hour Mandatory Course.

Paragon Safety Group is a board-approved provider and teaches full-day courses that allow you to complete your entire yearly CE requirement in a single day, although you are welcome to attend only one part of the day if you don’t need the full 8 hours of training. The daily schedule is:

  • OSHA Focus-4 Safety Training (4 hours), 8 am – 10 am
This course focuses on how to avoid Electrical, Struck-by, Caught-in/between, and Fall Protection Injuries)
  • Managing Safety and Health (2 hours), 10 am – 12 pm
This course focuses on the proper management and maintenance of a company’s safety and health program, from the manager’s perspective
  • Board’s Mandatory Course (2 hours), 3 pm – 5 pm
This course, mandated by the Licensing Board, covers changes and updates to the GC program for 2021.
